In 2020, we opened our first location in Columbus Circle Underground Market, and during those first couple of years, it was tough getting people to find us! Today, with many pop-ups around the city and expanding outside New York City, I still like to call Criollas a hidden gem. My little shop, really hidden, was the first step to turning an underground treasure into a citywide sensation. From those humble beginnings, we’ve baked our way into the hearts of New Yorkers—one empanada at a time.
